Profhilo Behandeling (Treatment) Aftercare Tips and Suggestions by Experts

A groundbreaking procedure that has swept the cosmetics business off its feet is profhilo.  It is a bio-remodeling procedure that increases skin elasticity and collagen synthesis.

In contrast to conventional fillers, profhilo behandeling (treatment) is used to address skin laxity and moisturize the skin rather than increase volume.  It is a novel technique that has received recognition for producing results that seem natural. What Makes Aftercare Crucial?

Because it enables the body to recover and adapt to the therapy, aftercare is crucial.  It facilitates the HA’s absorption and encourages the synthesis of collagen and elastin.

Furthermore, proper aftercare procedures might lessen the likelihood of any negative side effects, such swelling or bruises.

You can have some little bruising, swelling, or redness after receiving Profhilo therapy.  This is very normal and will go away in a few days.  Avoid touching or scratching the treatment area as this may irritate it or cause the HA to spread unevenly.Immediately Following Treatment (0–6 Hours)

  • Do Not contact the region: To avoid infection, do not contact the treated region for the first six hours.
  • Sleep Positioning: On the night after the procedure, attempt to sleep with your face up.
  • Makeup: For at least 12 hours following treatment, avoid wearing makeup.

Day 1 After Therapy (The Next 24 Hours)

  • Exercise and Alcohol: To lower the risk of bruising and swelling, refrain from intense physical activity and alcohol for a full day.
  • Heat Exposure: For the first 24 hours, avoid intense heat sources such saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, showers, and the sun.

Supplements and Medication (2 days before to and following treatment)

  • Anti-inflammatory medications and supplements: To reduce bruising, stay away from ibuprofen, aspirin, and supplements such as St. John’s Wort, cod liver oil, and vitamins A, B, or E.
  • Skincare Items (three days on each side of the procedure)
  • Retinoids: Three days before to and following the treatment, stay away from cosmetics that contain retinoids.

Physical Restrictions (Post 5 Days)

  • Compressive Wear: For five days, avoid wearing goggles, masks, or helmets that put pressure on the treated regions.
  • Cosmetic Procedures (either side of treatment for three weeks)
  • Skin Treatments: For three weeks before to your Profhilo session, refrain from getting facial massages, laser treatments, chemical peels, and dermabrasion.
  • face Procedures: Give yourself up to two weeks to avoid face procedures such as radiofrequency, hydrafacial, microdermabrasion, CACI, microneedling, and dermaplaning.

Follow Up After Treatment

For best outcomes Profhilo needs two treatments spaced four weeks apart; in rare cases, a third treatment can be necessary.

The ultimate outcome won’t be visible for around eight weeks following your initial treatment since Profhilo works on skin remodeling, but the wait will be worthwhile!

We will not be able to treat you if you are pregnant, nursing, or may become pregnant.  If you have cold sores, an active skin infection, or are ill—that is, have colds, coughs, sore throats, etc.—treatment is not advised.

Before coming, please get in touch with the clinic to discuss any illnesses or new medications. When Prompt Assistance Could Be Needed

 Awaiting Necrosis

Even though it is quite uncommon, scarring must be avoided right away.  It is brought on by swelling or filler that interferes with the normal blood flow, resulting in discoloration (pale or dark skin), which is typically accompanied by discomfort in the initial hours following a procedure.  It may happen anywhere, but you need to go back to the clinic right away, or if it’s after hours, go to A+E.

Anaphylaxis

Although extremely uncommon, our professionals are prepared to identify and treat anaphylaxis if you begin to feel generally ill and experience facial swelling and redness right after your treatment.  Call for an emergency ambulance if you are no longer in the clinic and explain that you are worried about anaphylaxis.

If administered properly, the product’s composition makes worrisome side effects relatively unlikely.  To ensure that you are in good hands, Dr. Johnson has received formal Profhilo training from the UK distributor.

However, following a profhilo behandeling (treatment), the following adverse effects may occasionally manifest:

Long-lasting bruises at the injection sites that may last for a little more than a week; puffiness beneath the eyes or surrounding the injection sites that may persist for a few days to a week; and infection

Although vascular occlusions have been documented worldwide since Profhilo, this is highly improbable. How Will a Profhilo Treatment Affect My Appearance?

Most patients will have five noticeable pimples under the skin on each side of their face after treatment.  Initially, these lumps may seem pinky-red, and occasionally, small pinprick marks may be visible at the injection sites.

These lumps, which might resemble tiny insect bites, usually fade away quickly within a few hours, though occasionally it may take a day or a little more.

Additionally, you could occasionally get bruises at the injection sites, which can be a little uncomfortable.
